Shanghai Secco Petrochemical Co., LTD. (Polystyrene Company) is a Sino-foreign joint venture limited liability company funded by China Petrochemical Corporation (SINOPEC), Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical Co., LTD. (Shanghai Petrochemical Company), Sinopec Shanghai Gaoqiao Petrochemical Co., LTD. (Gaoqiao Petrochemical Company) and IneOS. The proportion of investment is 15%, 20%, 15% and 50% respectively. Total investment amounts to more than $3bn.
Secco has a design capacity of 1.09 million tons/year ethylene cracking, 650,000 tons/year styrene, 600,000 tons/year aromatics extraction, 520,000 tons/year acrylonitrile, 180,000 tons/year butadiene extraction, 600,000 tons/year polyethylene, 300,000 tons/year polystyrene, 250,000 tons/year polypropylene and other large chemical plants.
Secco uses the world's advanced process technology to produce ethylene, propylene, polyethylene, polypropylene, styrene, polystyrene, acrylonitrile, butadiene, benzene, toluene and by-products, and can provide more than 3.2 million tons of high-quality, multi-specification and wide-coverage petrochemical products in short supply in China every year. Secco has established a comprehensive QA/QC system, provided relevant after-sales service and technical consultation, and engaged in polymer application development.

Secco can fully rely on Shanghai's developed manufacturing, processing, trade, finance, logistics and other service industries, take advantage of the fast and convenient road, rail, water and other transportation network, based on the Yangtze River Delta, for domestic and international markets.
